Seniors First

Helping older adults navigate the digital world.
CETAT’s connect Seniors First program bridges the digital divide by pairing compassionate volunteers with older adults who need help using smartphones, tablets, and the internet. Volunteers work side-by-side with seniors—either in person or virtually—to teach basic tech skills, help with online safety, and boost digital confidence.
Through friendly, weekly sessions, seniors gain the confidence to connect with loved ones, access online services, and explore the digital world at their own pace. Beyond boosting digital literacy, this program fosters meaningful intergenerational relationships that reduce feelings of isolation, promote lifelong learning, and empower seniors to stay informed and engaged in a rapidly changing world.
Create Initiative

Empowering youth through creative technology.
The Create Initiative empowers young people to explore their creative potential in photography, music production, web design, and visual storytelling. Volunteers mentor youth through workshops and one-on-one coaching, helping them build digital portfolios and develop real-world creative skills.
Whether it’s capturing powerful images, designing interactive websites, or producing original music, this program provides students with a supportive space to explore their passions, express themselves creatively, and gain the tools they need to pursue future opportunities in the creative and digital arts industries.
After School Programming

Fun and educational tech activities for students.
Our After School Programming offers a safe and engaging environment where students learn essential technology skills outside the classroom. Volunteers lead clubs in coding (Scratch or Python), PC repair, and digital literacy.
Volunteers lead engaging weekly clubs focused on coding (using platforms like Scratch for beginners and Python for more advanced learners), PC repair and hardware troubleshooting, and foundational digital literacy. These sessions are designed to make learning fun and accessible—no prior experience required—while fostering creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Workforce Development Training

Building tech skills for career success.
CETAT’s Workforce Development Training equips adults with the digital tools and confidence they need to succeed in today’s workforce. Through resume-building workshops, job readiness programs, and practical digital skills training, this program prepares participants for meaningful employment.
Volunteers play a vital role as trainers, resume reviewers, and mentors—offering hands-on guidance to learners through every step of their career development journey. Additionally, they support learners in navigating software tools, building digital portfolios, and sharpening technical abilities. Through their mentorship, volunteers help individuals gain practical experience, enhance their professional presence, and become more competitive in today’s job market.
